Position Summary: Designs, develops and supports the application and data integration managed by Information Services. Ensures that interfaces are optimally designed, developed and functioning as designed. Designs end-to-end integration solutions to meet business needs -Utilizes data Integration tools, standards and methodologies. -Analyzes the specifications provided by integration analysts to create detailed technical design. -Performs detailed technical design to integrate data between applications or systems based on requirements. -Determines how existing applications, legacy systems, databases, Web interfaces and/or hardware logic, which may be currently operating on multiple platforms, work together to meet the new and emerging enterprise requirements. -Develops program models as to the overall functionality for use in implementing the design. -Maintains integrity of the integration engine infrastructure to ensure ability to accommodate increased capabilities, transaction volumes and interfaces. -Participates in component and data architecture design, software product evaluation and buy versus build recommendations. -Ensures the stability and integrity of the integration environments including their scalability, functionality, accessibility and data security. Completes gap analysis. Development: -Develops pseudo-code per detailed technical design. -Develops detail level code flow diagrams to communicate interface functionality. -Develops methods to efficiently reuse existing components. -Develops moderately complex code to integrate data between applications or systems. -Performs functional testing of code to validate quality. -Creates and publishes technical documentation for all code generated. -Participates in code review sessions. -Updates the technical specifications based on gap analysis findings. Test and Implement: -Maintains integrity of the integration engine infrastructure to ensure ability to accommodate increased capabilities, transaction volumes and interfaces. -Supports unit, integration, and end user testing by resolving identified defects. -Participates in implementation cut-over meetings and develops cut-over plan. -Executes cut-over plan and deploys code to production. Support: -Supports continued evolution of the design and architecture of the enterprise integration environments to provide Sutter Health with future growth and expansion potential. -Documents technical support in knowledge based tools. -Participates in on-call rotation as necessary. Department Operations: -Meets identified deadlines. -Performs work accurately and effectively to meet project goals. -Attends and actively participates in meetings. -Documents and reports project hours in accordance with established policies. -Regularly reports on progress and escalates problems / issues appropriately.
